Deadline for applying for accreditation
is 24 January 2005 . Applications received after 24 January
may not be considered .
Accreditation is
required to gain access to Africa Unite events
and to arrange interviews with performers and participants.
Services available for accredited journalists include:
- AFRICA UNITE Media
Help Desk at Bole International Airport
(Room F33 located
right after the customs desk open 24 hours where accredited journalists
pick up their press badges)
- Waiver on customs levies for equipment
(equipment must leave country with departure of journalists)

Waiver
on film permit fee. (This applies to television/film crews covering
Africa Unite activities in Addis Ababa . Crews intending to film outside
Addis Ababa will be required to apply for a separate film permit and
pay pertinent fees.)
Access to all Africa Unite events
and venues including:
- Opening Ceremony at the Addis Ababa City Hall
- Songs of Freedom Exhibition
